MEET DANIELA
“Daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have the hard conversations.”
About Me
Hi! Welcome to my site. I am looking forward to getting to know each other. My name is Daniela Colburn Prado, MEd, NCC, LPC. My last name is one last name, two separate words. I decided to take in my husband's last name (Colburn) and keep my maiden name (Prado). As a Mexican-American, having two last names is one of the many things I feel proud of!
I have an Associate’s Degree with a concentration in Child Development from Houston Community College and graduated in 2006, I obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, HTX in 2009, and my Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Houston-Victoria in 2016. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #77753), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC #833032). I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I specialize in helping children, adolescents, and their families who struggle with trauma, specifically sexual abuse, violence, and neglect. My clinical experience includes assisting children, adolescents, and adults in psychotherapy in individual, family, and group settings.
I love spending time with my husband and family, traveling, taking road trips on my Jeep, hanging out with my family, listening to audiobooks, and walking with my 3 dogs!
